When Life Gets Tough

Music is entertainment. It is what gets us pumped for a 5K. But music plays another role in many people lives. It is a form of escape and a cure for the blues. For anyone with a mental illness, anxiety, who has it rough at home, the victims of bullying, and the outcasts music can be the only saving grace. For anyone in need of some music therapy here are some songs to find and love, or use them to make a "feel better" playlist.

RIP: We Are The End

 

While skimming the "Rock" section of itunes, I stumbled upon a band called We Are The End. My first thought was how odd it was to call them rock, they are far more than just rock. The release date says 2008 and the band literally has 2 songs listed but oh how amazing they are! Sadly the band was short lived and ended only 2 years later in 2010. If you have never heard of this band please give them a listen, any deathcore/hardcore fans will love them. So even though they've come and gone it's still music and I encourage every metalhead to give them a listen, you won't be disappointed.

Band of the Week: Broadway!!!

Broadway is a post hardcore band out of Orlando, Florida. The band combines screamo vocals with melodic vocals. Their sound is similar to Chiodos however they remain true to their unique style. You'll like Broadway if you like Chiodos, Bring Me The Horizon, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows.
